The Company was set up by popular demand from Cross border ( Irish Rep. ) retailers. They were being forced to pay more  ( for accordions & some other lines ) as a trade price (before vat ) than the retail price which was being   charged by O'Neills of Gortin.  

O'Neills a  firm of much more 24 years experience in  the music business having started then as an accordion only shop. In the early days, the only supplier was M.Hohner.  Cut price sales put turnover so high that a special price structure was set up giving Sub-distributor status.    The range was gradually extended it was necessary to direct import.   Gortin Music.  Wholesale was set up & is now a  fully fledged importer ( of over 13 years standing ) stocking almost all " OWN BRAND "  products under the Boorinwood label.
